Love is in the Air…

21 01 2011

Happy Friday! I love Friday so much ever since I was a little kid. I wanted to share some of my favorite things today…

This would make a wonderful gift, “I LOVE YOU BEST” antique tablespoon from Hammerman on Etsy.

I am totally  in love with Drucilla’s blog and her Etsy shop Drucillapettibone. I love her hand embroidered animal prints and her butterfly wing pendant.

These superhero shoes from Smallfly would be perfect with the superhero cape I’m making Jett for Valentine’s Day:)

This fox necklace from Odette New York is so sweet.

Vintage Valentines (come see some amazing ones at our store).

Crocheted hearts by Kara.

Handmade Valentine’s Cards. Of course Martha Stewart has a million ideas.

Francois the Accordion Playing Cat would make any sofa more comfy.

What are some things you are loving this week?

Have a wonderful weekend. And remember national pie day is Sunday!

Love, Rebecca

Time To Dust Off Your Sewing Machine…

20 01 2011

Right now there are some many fun sew a-longs happening in the blog world. Two of my favorites are Casey’s from Elegant Musings and Peter’s from Male Pattern Boldness.

Casey from Elegant Musings, has a wonderful blog, and is having a dress sew-along making a 1940’s swing dress. She’ll be using the 1940’s Swing Dress Pattern from Sense and Sensibility Patterns.

Peter over at Male Pattern Boldness has a great Men’s Shirt Sew A-Long starting Feb.1. He’ll be using Colette’s new retro  men’s  Neogroni shirt pattern.

Well if you want to start your own sew a-long or if you are ready to add some new pieces to your wardrobe, Roulette Vintage’s sewing patterns are for you:) We have lots of different types: for children, men and women. And this is just the start, we have so many more to list!  So keep your eye out for more to come!  Here are just a few favorites…

Mention “I Love Roulette” and get free shipping on patterns for the month of January 2011.

Have a wonderful and crafty week.

Love, Rebecca

I love this black knit dress that is shot with gold thread. Its perfect for a holiday party. Fun without being too dressy. It would also look cute with a pair of boots for a night out with friends.  $35

I Heart Mondays!

15 11 2010

Hey Y’all,

Happy Monday! Roulette had a little make-over over this week.  New artwork by Thomas Dean, lots of warm coats, and a whole table of wool-y accessories for the changing weather!  Stop by and have a look…and while you are here, check out what I Heart most about this Monday…

Brilliant’s new crocheted, fishnet fingerless gloves! They are so cute; and luckily, I got a pair for my birthday!  They range in colors from black to beige to red and yarns of cotton or extra-soft bamboo, but they are always detailed with vintage buttons.  Glam with a touch of grunge (as the artist perfectly describes them)!
You can check out Brilliant’s blog here

Love them!

warm winter wool

2 11 2010

I’m Grace, the new marketing intern. The temperatures are dropping- how will you stay warm?

I visited the State Fair and was inspired by the thick wool blanketing the sheep. It’s really such a neat thing- you can use the sheep’s wool without harming the animal in the process.

Wool may have a bad rep. I have unpleasant memories of wearing wool sweaters as a child. Forgot those painful childhood memories! Wool can be stylish, and it’s so functional. You can feel good about investing in a nice wool sweater, because you know you’ll come back to it each winter.

We are always getting in wool sweaters. Find one in a bright color to spice up your cold weather-wear.

Do you know any artisans in the area making wonderful sweaters out of local wool? Let’s hear about it!’

Be wonderful. Wear Wool.

Happy Tuesday!

Grace
