Happy Monday! Roulette had a little make-over over this week.  New artwork by Thomas Dean, lots of warm coats, and a whole table of wool-y accessories for the changing weather!  Stop by and have a look…and while you are here, check out what I Heart most about this Monday…

Brilliant’s new crocheted, fishnet fingerless gloves! They are so cute; and luckily, I got a pair for my birthday!  They range in colors from black to beige to red and yarns of cotton or extra-soft bamboo, but they are always detailed with vintage buttons.  Glam with a touch of grunge (as the artist perfectly describes them)!

Today is such a great Monday! I went to the Vampire Weekend concert last night and had such a great time that I can’t stop smiling today.

But, what I heart the most about this Monday is…

SWEATER VESTS!!!! I am so in-love with them this season and they are perfect for this weather!

It’s a beautiful Monday…sunny with a little breeze! Perfect weather for the pool! What ‘I heart’ about this Monday… the adorable vintage bathing suits we have here at Roulette!  My favorite is the yellow paisley one-piece! Terribly cute and a little sexy with its low back.  Man, I’m so happy one-pieces are back in style! Come check them all out!

So, I’ve  been sitting here working on some vintage Etsy posts for Roulette (which you should check out…cute dresses!!) and thinking about today.  And what “I HEART” about this Monday is…the WEATHER!!!!  And the fact that I got to wear my really cute new lace vintage flats that I bought from River’s yard sale this past weekend.  Wish I was outside, but don’t worry the front door is propped open letting some fresh air in…well, and customers! So, you should come see me!

So today, I heart my new sewing book, The Sewing Bible!  It is 300+ pages of practical and decorative sewing techniques by Ruth Singer.  There is nothing better than curling up on a rainy day like today and reading a good book. Mi Scusi Hand Made is back!

With the cold weather starting, there is no better time for Mi Scusi to bring back her wonderful, one-of-a-kind knits.  What I love so much about her work is that she is giving vintage yarns a second chance at life!  Its amazing to see her take what would have been discarded materials and reconstruct entire wardrobes out of yarn.

Using a diversity of colors, she constructs different scarves, hats, shawls, as well as camisoles and dresses (which are not pieces solely made of  yarn).  All perfect for this weather! Although marketed as uni-sex, in my opinion, most of her pieces have more of a feminine touch to them (which is perfect for me!).  Right down to every detail like her cute vintage buttons, these pieces scream Roulette and everything it stands for.
